Thank you to everyone who attended today's Brockley Community Coffee Morning at St John's Church. It was fantastic to be able to update constituents on my work as a DCMS Minister. Residents discussed a number of key local issues, and I will continue to raise these concerns with Lewisham Council.

No one should struggle to book a GP appointment, manage their finances or access support simply because services have moved online. Age UK's latest report shows that 1 in 8 older people are digitally excluded, with many facing barriers to getting online or using digital services with confidence. 🧵

And that’s a wrap on Labour Conference! Great discussions on youth, gambling, digital inclusion, loneliness and civil society, and brilliant to meet so many engaged attendees. A highlight was Lisa Nandy announcing 1,000 new youth workers to support young people across the UK.

It's International Day of Sign Languages. This year’s theme, “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights”, highlights that access and inclusion are rights, not privileges. Here's me in 2021 asking the first known PMQ in BSL, raising concerns about Deaf people's access to vital Covid information.

How is the Government going to protect creative jobs as AI grows? How can working-class creatives access the sector and sustain a living? Great to hear attendees share worries, ideas and solutions at my roundtable. Lewisham North’s creative network is incredible and I’m committed to nourishing it.

I had such a wonderful time at the London Sivan Temple Chariot Event this weekend! It was one of those days that just lifts your spirits. Lewisham town centre looked absolutely gorgeous with colourful chariots, music and dancing filling the streets. Thank you so much to Lewisham Sivan Temple. 🌟

Thrilled to join St Peter's Brockley on Sunday to open their new garden space for children and young people. After months of hard work, the team have turned an empty patch by the church into a beautiful place for local kids to play and relax. Such a warm reception - thank you for the invite!
