@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy@ambientspace totally. My good friend who's an artist is coming over later. I've left them on the counter to see what she makes of the whole thing. 🤣
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy@ambientspace great idea! I also feel like it'd be cool to do some macro photography with them.
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy@ambientspace they should be! They look like weird alien beings
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyIn case it's not obvious, these potatoes ☝️have been in this box for a year, living off only the water they had stored and managing to put out serious growth, including dozens of new potatoes. What a miraculous plant.
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyI pulled a box that I use to store potatoes from a shelf in the basement. I thought it was empty, but surprise!
Life finds a way.
I'm going to see if I can get one to shoot out greens.
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyHaven't tried, but this seems interesting!
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyJust realized this ☝️ may be an Arrested Development nod, with Ron Howard saying, "it will not."
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyStellar article card from Nautilus
@fedi.beesbuzz.bizReposted by @alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyMakertube has switched to charging for storage, which is totally understandable, but their storage prices are pretty excessive (like, €3/GB/mo to start). Are there any paid Peertube instances out there which have pricing closer to being in line with actual bulk object storage costs? (for example […]

@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy@puffer is it insane to bring this setup to circuits in the woods? I don't really have a sense of the space or pacing.
It doesn't take up that much space, but it's a 10 or 15 minute setup. But it's so fuuuunnn 🙂
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyFantastic article from a newsletter that seems very interesting and I hadn't heard of about a musician that seems very interesting who I hadn't heard of. Once again, @thetonearm is broadening my musical horizons.
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyI am TIRED. Think I'll give myself a pass for trash TV and video games this evening. Thank goodness for leftover enchiladas.
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy@paninid ah, cool! For a second I thought I might be taking crazy pills 😂
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy@paninid am I missing something or are you not crediting the person who wrote this? That sounds exactly like what I read in Heather Cox Richardson's newsletter this morning.
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gyLol small town life. Email from the town: > A gate has been installed on the driveway serving the City of Keene’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), near the Dillant-Hopkins Airport terminal. Beginning Friday, October 9, 2026, the gate will be locked outside normal business hours to restrict […]
@alisynthesis.io.waxandleather.com.ap.brid.gy[Should I stay or should I go: fencing edition] Fencing itself seems interesting, but it does not come easy to me, so I think I would need a good teacher. It's also a brain-intensive sport, which is super cool, but kind of not what I'm looking for in terms of fun exercise. (I think a lot for […]
