Thinking about back before I'd finished Pokemon Violet, where I thought people were using weird codenames for the paradox Pokemon in order to avoid spoiling them for people who hadn't beat the game yet. And then I got to Area Zero and realised "Oh, no, that's literally just what they're called."

Like, the concept seemed neat. The right kind of jank to make a good kusoge or whatever. I just don't understand why they needed to send every single command to an LLM, bro's gonna bankrupt himself before the game even releases.

This morning I learned about a game controlled entirely through giving voice commands to an in-game character, that is putting its creator in debt through the demo alone because it interfaces in real time with GenAI. My honest first thought was "Nintendo already did this without AI."

I dunno. I just think it's kinda interesting how the specific way you engage with a piece of media can completely change what you end up taking away from it. In the end it's all subjective.

Saw someone mention a character was "built up" as a big deal and then did nothing, when in my experience it was pretty clear they were just a background character to explain the history of the circus. But I got that explanation half an episode after the initial name drop while others waited months.

Random thought, but it's occurring to me that watching (rewatching the first half or so) The Amazing Digital Circus all in one go probably gave me a fundamentally different experience with the show than people who kept up with the new episodes as they came out.
