New research from Dr. Jessica Rosin’s lab shows that CSF1R-expressing immune cells help shape bones, teeth, the skull & facial muscles during development. Blocking CSF1R in pregnant mice led to changes across these tissues, highlighting how cells surrounding a structure can influence how it forms.
