Hi Chris. Yes, they're old signs, but as they're still displayed where people pay, these are the ones that people are seeing. They all need to be updated and made clearer.
I have become aware that car parking charges in local Cherwell District Council run car parks are misleading - with signage displaying conflicting information. Here, you can see different times advertised on two different signs by parking bays on South Bar Street See my letter to the Council below:
I recently went to visit the Bloxham Boys Brigade. I gave a talk on my role as an MP and how to get involved in politics, and also answered their questions. The group is fantastic for the community. I had a great time, thank you to all involved for welcoming me.
I went to speak to the Charlbury Probus at their lunchtime meeting, about my work as an MP and how I represent all parts of the constituency in Parliament. It was also good to hear from some of the members about their thoughts and their policy priorities. Thank you for welcoming me.

You don't have to be a British Gas customer to benefit, but full eligibility criteria will be on the website.
It was great to visit Banbury and Bicester College, speaking to students about my role as an MP in Banbury and Westminster, and answering their questions. We covered a lot of topics and policy areas, and I am grateful for the thought-provoking questions. Thank you for welcoming me.
Disgusting that the Tories have pledged to scrap the requirements for new homes to come with solar panels. Solar panels on new homes will save people hundreds of pounds, bolster our energy security, and will of course be hugely beneficial for the environment.
Congratulations to Charlbury Museum for gaining official UK Museum Accreditation by Arts Council England.
Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers, stewards and supporters in Charlbury who have made this possible.
At Labour Conference, I spoke with The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. MND has a profound impact on individuals, their families and carers. I will work to monitor the NICE appraisal on targeted treatment, and wider work to improve care, treatment and support for everyone affected by MND.
This week is the first ever National Cadets Week, and I'd like to take the opportunity to celebrate the dedication, achievements and community spirit of cadets and volunteers across Banbury and North Oxfordshire.
Wishing my niece Amelie a very happy 10th birthday today! I hope you have a lovely day. 🎉 🥳
I'm pleased about the Government's plans to ensure parents cannot be charged for sitting next to their children on planes.
These proposed reforms would provide greater consistency across all airlines operating in the country.
This is deeply saddening news. My sincere condolences to the family and friends of the young woman who tragically lost her life. My thoughts are with everyone affected during this difficult time.
At Labour Conference, I visited the Animal Free Research UK stand, and spoke to representatives there about their Herbie's Law campaign. was pleased to discuss the policy, and add my name to the list of Parliamentarians who support it - www.animalfreeresearchuk.org/supporting-h....
Sounds like a fantastic day, and a great way to raise funds for the Larder, and Citizens Advice. If interested, please do sign up here and get involved: www.cawnac.org.uk
I have been very vocal about the fact that I didn't feel existing action taken against water companies had gone far enough. I am therefore pleased that a strengthened Water Bill will be brought to Parliament, ending the ban on public ownership.
Great news that there will be a new Action Plan published for the care sector, helping to support those who dedicate themselves to caring for others. This will help with career progression and retention, improve employment conditions, and introduce a new national collective pension scheme.
I have been calling on OCC to improve safety on Overthorpe Road for many months.
Therefore, I am pleased to see that a consultation on proposed parking restrictions in this area has been published.
I would encourage local people to have their say:
