Turns out the psychiatric hospital lore was real
Only replies from people who’ve watched the whole thing will be accepted. And I’ll know. I’ll smell the lies. Homework can be fun if you let it. Sincerely, Professor Gen X.
THIS DOCUMENTARY IS MEANT TO BE VIEWED ON VHS One of my favourite creation stories ever. Slint are the type of 90s mystery that is impossible to replicate now. The internets gift of access obliterated the whisper network. This album is so wrapped up in myth and this film doesn’t demystify it. Watch!
Just talk to another human already jesus fucking christ
I am pleased to report that my 13 year old daughter has started a band at school and she named them Bloodsoaked Vinyl.
Haha every time
There are many hilarious things about an Architectural Digest interview where a celebrity is showing off a home they just renovated but my favourite part is always where the designers talk about “how involved the client was” and the classic “she really knew what she wanted”. Every. Single. Time.
Yes I can
True, that’s a good one - but there is a lot of competition. These lists are always so arbitrary, I just agree with this one
Haha. To me, that falls into the ‘funny bad’ category. Maybe it’s actually brilliant. Mid Systolic Click was never going to be on a billboard.
Pic? My friend, I used to have a VIDEO of us playing live but I LOST THE VHS. One of the few drawbacks of physical media, guys. I would do anything to get that tape back and I would 100% post it here.
We never went anywhere…but boy did we rock the Moorabbin Town Hall one night in 1996. You know, the world famous Moorabbin Town Hall, guys?
Oh yes. A few. The main one was an industrial metal band when I was 19. I was the “singer” (screamer). We had fun but we had the worst band name in history - not funny bad, like Colonic Destruction or something, but mystifying bad. Here goes: we were called Mid Systolic Click. It’s a heart condition
I’m a massive fan of LA crime movies and this list pretty much nails it.
