As promised, here’s the Duran Duran edition! The top 4 are the top 4 for a reason—can you guess why? Favorite songs from each: 1. New Religion 2. Friends of Mine 3. Of Crime and Passion 4. One of Those Days 5. Palomino 6. Falling 7. Skin Trade 8. Breath After Breath 9. The Man Who Stole a Leopard

It was awesome to hear it played live in full at the 25th anniversary show in 2016!

Not necessarily my top nine artists (except no. 1 — duh! 🤣), but definitely nine albums that have ZERO skips! I purposely chose only one album per artist; otherwise it would be mostly Duran Duran. I’ll do an all-DD one next!

Thank you so much for having me on! SUCH a fun time. 😊 Listen here or on Spotify, Substack or Apple Podcasts!

The fact that you know the difference between en dashes and em dashes puts you wayyyyy ahead of majority of the population. 😆😆

I love that you “got” Mia! She definitely takes after me in the copyediting-geeksplaining department. 😆

This Day In Duran Duran History: Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2015! I stood for hours on a metal grate; I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk back to my car & sat on the sidewalk w/ my shoes off. I guess you could say it was “time to take the Pressure Off.” 🫣 I’ll be here all week, folks. Try the veal! 😆

Found this among all the Duran Duran books in my bookcase… I’m gonna frame it! The b/w photo is a glossy print, so I must’ve gotten it as a trade photo at R&R when they got their Hollywood star in 1993. Why it and my own pic are glued onto pink paper, I cannot tell you. 🤷‍♀️😂

No, it’s great! And thank you for reading!!!

How would YOU react if one of your favorite rock stars gave you his phone number? If you're the heroine of my novella...you don't even notice until hours later. 😂 Only then does the existential crisis begin! "Behind the Setlist" is full of moments that actually made me laugh while writing them…

Thank you! 😊

This is the actual Kodak print that Andy — and all of them — had signed! Taken before the July 16, 2003 Pacific Amphitheatre show in Costa Mesa as part of a meet & greet hosted by local radio station KYSR (Star 98.7).

Aaand… that same pic as printed in the Oct. 3, 2003 issue of R&R.

Next: ME. THEM. WOW! (Local radio guy on the far left — needed him in the photo to make it radio-related and therefore relevant to R&R’s audience. 🤣)

It was 23 years ago today, Duran Duran brought the band to play… at the Santa Barbara Bowl! This was the reunion tour show where I not only got to do the M&G but also take a band pic to be printed in R&R. First up: Andy Taylor during the meet & greet, signing a previous photo I’d taken with DD!

It really does make a difference. Thank you for supporting my book! 💕 (And if you haven’t ordered a copy yet… they make great stocking stuffers! I know Christmas is in three months, but I’m early for everything. 🤣)
