@stanleybad.bsky.social
songsmith & musician; lover of books, woodpeckers, stuff... increasingly twinless twin
@stanleybad.bsky.social@stanleybad.bsky.social*Syndrome (sigh)
@stanleybad.bsky.socialThe joy of finding Digestives GOLD in the clearance corner of Co-Op!
@stanleybad.bsky.socialWatched The Stendhal Syndtome on BFI player last night. Red flags a-plenty. The syndrome itself is intriguing: tourists faint, overwhelmed by Renaissance art (or, more probably, heat & fatigue, no?) Nice to see the Apollo of Veii making a cameo, though!
@stanleybad.bsky.socialListening to On the Corner earlier reminded me of this gem...
@stanleybad.bsky.socialOn the Corner is 54 (a few months ahead of me).
@stanleybad.bsky.socialBlast these Roman robots!
@stanleybad.bsky.socialPotential title of a tune, the idea being The Once and Present Twin—or the once twin & the now twin. Just wanted to see it typed out, really, to mull it over...
@stanleybad.bsky.socialGeminus Quondam Gemellusque NVNC.
@stanleybad.bsky.socialAs should Bergman & Tarkovsky & Ed Wood... ho hum...
@stanleybad.bsky.socialI couldn't choose a Kaurismäki but he should be on here. These are just the ones that sprang to mind...
@stanleybad.bsky.socialThis time last year I was at a Denton Welch exhibition. Today I'm having a pint of Landlord in Highgate.
@stanleybad.bsky.socialI wouldn't happen to have such technical wizardry, alas.
@stanleybad.bsky.socialA book version of this would be fun
@stanleybad.bsky.socialI was just getting warmed up... These certainly left their mark on me in my formative years.
@stanleybad.bsky.socialHad to delete the mug photo from Instagram because people were wishing me happy birthday. I am not 60 just yet...
@stanleybad.bsky.socialThis bird book did catch my eye. Also, a Folio of Gilbert White with amazing plates... oof. Some good old books in that there shop!
@stanleybad.bsky.social@stanleybad.bsky.socialNice to meet you, Irene!
@stanleybad.bsky.socialMatthew Sheeran is as musical as his brother isn't. Here is his album of Easley Blackwood's 12 Microtonal Etudes played on real instruments.
