As we mark Korean War Heritage Month, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice - and thank HooJung and Don for helping keep their memories alive.

For 25 years, Hamilton Mountain’s HooJung Jones and Major (Ret’d) Don Kennedy have honoured Korean War veterans through their annual appreciation luncheons and countless other acts of remembrance.

I relished the chance to try my hand at pickleball at Ontario Pickleball Academy as they celebrate their first anniversary of serving up fun on Hamilton Mountain! 🏓

Mr. Grande Pizza is a Hamilton Mountain staple, serving up their huge party pizzas for birthdays and family dinners for 30 years. Delicious!

So much to celebrate in Latin American Heritage Month! I love practicing my Spanish and tasting the pupusas at the annual can’t-miss Latin Fair. Gracias, Asociacion Fraternidad Hispana, for nurturing your beautiful culture on Hamilton Mountain.

The Run for Hamilton is an important community event and I couldn’t be happier that it was held on Hamilton Mountain this year. This is the 9th year the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at has organized this charity run to raise funds for the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation.

The Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance helps artists develop their talents while deepening everyone's appreciation and love for Indigenous culture and arts. I was very pleased to announce a $192,000 federal investment in this inimitable community gem, and I look forward to the next performance!

Our Regional Tariff Response Initiative is helping companies like ADI adapt and scale up, despite massive challenges with unfair US tariffs.

They put us to work and taught us a bit about their impressive robots at Hamilton's ADI Automation Design; no consensus on whether Minister Anandasangaree, @johnpauldanko.bsky.social or I have any talent in that area.

We remember the children who never returned home, and honour the families and communities who carry the legacy of residential schools. (2/2)

On this somber day of reflection, survivors of Canada’s oldest and longest-running residential school shared their stories during a moving commemoration at the Woodland Cultural Centre. (1/2)

A breast cancer survivor herself, Helena still volunteers to this day - famous for her personal cards to thank donors and celebrate the birthdays of more than 200 volunteers. It was an honour to present Helena with the Sovereign’s Medal, our nation’s highest award for volunteerism. (2/2)
