Whoops, fixed

@crankyflier.comOct 12, 2026, 5:26 PM

Just circling back here, because I found this page. It definitely shows what will become the A gates by 2035 and then a new T2 with 3 concourses. So, T1 is R/S, T2 is T/U and I guess repurposes V from the old one? Still so weird.

I don't think I'll take that bet... because you are probably completely right

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 4:18 PM

If there is a plan for Y and Z, why not just change BCD in the new plan to EFG? Oh nevermind. I agree, this won't be our problem once the robots take over

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 2:12 PM

Ok ok, we are getting somewhere. Though Ned found another map which shows P and V in current T3
bsky.app/profile/byer...

That seems weird. Also, N seems weird. Maybe if the gates were Nord but they aren't. Maybe A will eventually knock down N so they just picked a random letter

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 4:50 AM

This tracks with what others have said. And those new letters are just all over the place. I want it to mean something... But we will never know

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 3:59 AM

Are there letters in T1 and 3? Though you probably don't spend much time there!

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 3:35 AM

And I find it really funny that KLM serves none of those since it uses 2F. But now it looks like K L M becomes D C B, for some reason in reverse order. But they don't use letters anywhere else do they?

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 2:32 AM

You'll love it

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 2:21 AM

Which doesn't match with the CDG published page, so ...

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 2:15 AM

But new terminal 2 will only have V gates!

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 2:04 AM

Might be for the ramp side, but T1 will have R and S above the wing so who knows

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 1:56 AM

Annnnd now I'm confused again. What are these gate numbers? They don't use any letters in T1 or 3 today so what are those?

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 1:52 AM

Yes but what's really weird is that the map they give doesn't show those different gate areas. Combine that with the bad translation and it is confusing. I think I get it now, though how they chose the letters... I would love to know

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 1:38 AM

Yeah, agreed on numbering though the lettering choice for the gates seems very strange. And btw, the departure lounge name came from CDG translating, which is very odd

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 1:36 AM

Yep, and I find it to be a mess, but this is the new numbering system, not the actual airport experience

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 12:58 AM

No, this is useful! It shows the departure areas. This is comical

@crankyflier.comOct 9, 2026, 12:55 AM

I can do that! But naturally the map they provide is completely useless. Vive la France!
