It's been such a shit stressful one and a half weeks on the personal side of things. Thankfully it's now over and everything is ok - and club football is back 💙🤍

Finnish FA Statement: Palloliitto have taken Glen Kamara's National Team situation to be reviewed by FIFA
Why is international football a thing
The potential FIFA sanction discussed is banning the player from club football for the duration of the international window + 5 days No major club would allow their players to go on international duty if they could just pay their way out of it. And I agree the three week break is ridiculous
Kamara played 45 minutes against Belarus and Albania during this international break, and didn't make an appearance against San Marino
Is that true? "We've been through these with other players too, not just Glen. The communication has been good. We're on the same page with the clubs, and of course we don't want that a player returns to club injured. We also had a clear understanding with Kamara's club"
QPR head coach Julien Stephan's comment emerged in British media. He said he had wished from Finland that Kamara wouldn't play too much in Nations League
"However clubs shouldn't complain and demand players to return, because due to their wishes one international break was removed and the schedule was compacted
Paraphrasing Friis from a English-Finnish translation back to English: "I don't it is fair that clubs set this kind of pressures on players during international break. I'd guess that we will see more this kinds of cases especially from larger clubs
Jacob Friis fears this won't be the last time this [player leaving camp due to club pressure] happens
But no let's instead piss off the National Team who are now forced to protect their ability to call up players altogether, and risk FIFA suspending the player - defeating the entire point of the exercise.
And that sentiment goes all the way up to the Finnish FA. This is a small country. If what's been reported is true, I can't genuinely understand the decision making at QPR. Finns value honesty, collaboration and direct communication. Literally just pick up the phone and agree to it.
And finally, we all love Glen. Everybody was so happy that he's got a chance to play again, and at a decent level. It's well known he has had a difficult time in the past few years, including his widely criticised move to Saudi. Finns do actually wish him well and understand his sensitive situation
We also have other midfielders. Due to the national team not being very good, there is a lot of appetite towards giving new younger players a chance. Whilst we all love Glen, the team does not rest on his shoulders. Perhaps there would've been someone who could've been called up - had they known.
We must be the only national team that has been accused of having the FA favouring the U21 head coach in player selection and withholding senior caps for the youth team We play in the same group as San Marino The national team is NOT life or death in this country
