Gwen being this broken Disney princess, this false idol sold in bulk to consumers, a figure for little girls to look up to as well as a product and sex symbol to be used and abused for pleasure. Her body was shaped to be marketable and her identity was never meant to be hers-

I think this is what makes KOG so compelling to me, it’s not this “fuck you” to Disney, its a twisted love letter to the magic Disney was meant to represent, a critique of its present practices, and a statement about how women are treated by the entertainment industry-

She got to have a say and decide how her body looks, each broken part of her body is a mark of her endurance and survival. As the show continues and more will be added to her, from Frankie and Andi’s trying to fix her or parts Gwen added on herself. She gets to define who she is-

A real person, one that has scars and a past. She’s spent her whole life being forced to be whatever people wanted her to be, but she rebelled against that and fought to be free, the damage she has is not only from her abuse but its a decision she made whenever she ran away-

Gwen was the blueprint for the other Gwendroids, she was meant to be a product, a mother figure to Olivia and a sexual object to Orville, but shes so much more than these roles and ideas that had been forced upon her, Gwen isn’t just some mascot or a product, she’s a person-

Gwen has shown 3 of the 7 trauma responses: Fight: fighting off perpetrators and acting aggressive in response to danger Flight: fleeing a perceived danger, non combative and avoidant of the threat Freeze: a state of shock that leaves you immobile while assessing a threat-

Gwen has some kind of PTSD, I’m not an expect on it so I cannot say if it’s an accurate depiction, from what we see she gets these flashbacks of previous traumas and they influence her behaviour in the present, how she responds to certain stimuli and danger-

This whole episode Gwen is having flashbacks to the abuse she suffered at the hands of the Parks, Olivia constantly “fixing” her and subjecting her to live torture, and now Orville breaking her for his own pleasure, this has left Gwen traumatised-

She also gets sexualised by the cop, he pulls her into a bathroom, puts her in a position where he has her pinned and sat, and he grabs at her face to look at her, calling her “gorgeous” and making comments on her body, expecting her to be more “fuller”-

And in the present Gwen is still sexualised, Sparky plans to sell Gwen as a sexdroid, a “blow up doll” as Andi puts it, when Gwen is fixed she’s going to be sold off to the highest bidder, her autonomy will not matter since she’s a product meant for consumption-

Because Orville abused Gwen too, in one shot she looks like she’s pinned down with Orville digging into her eye. And as we see when Olivia and Orville argue she says she’s cleaning “his mess”, we see that Gwens entire mouth has been destroyed. Orville sexually abused Gwen-

Gwen in her role as the Pseudo mother figure has to cater to the gaze of Olivia, being the ideal feminine role model, and to Orville’s gaze, being a sexual object that he can project his late wife onto, it makes this new episode and its themes all the more damming-

She was designed that way on purpose, her prominent bust and hips were a conscious choice, her youthful appearance, soft features and zero wrinkles we made so for a purpose, not only to sell a product to little girls but to be an object to satisfy his needs-

Now, Gwen being a stand in for Olivia’s mother means two things, Orville designed Gwen based off Olivia’s mother, and Gwens design as this super sleek, zero wrinkles, curvaceous woman is Orville sexualising Gwen and turning her into an object of desire-
