I am busy writing book number 2 & my research has immersed me in the history of Japanese punk! Absolutely vibrant & exciting scenes and I've listened to some great stuff- Romanes, The Roosters, The Stalin, Brain Police...loving it! 🤩

All female Ramones tribute called Romanes- the cover of their LP sees them lined up against a walk in homage to the Ramones album coverCover of Brain Police album that depicts a man in a helmet looking at the cameraThe Roosters- a four piece Japanese band, this pic shows them all in Suits standing on a set of stairs.

Punks! Have you ever been to a punk gig that was a benefit gig for homelessness/housing? Anywhere at any time? Can you remember who played? Any old flyers? Or maybe you're a punk who went to a housing protest?? Does anyone have examples to give?

This time of year in 2022, I was first published in a book- I wrote a chapter on Straight Edge for this punk & philosophy book. Now in 2026, it sits next to Rebel Grrrls- where every chapter is mine! 🤩

2 book covers side by side, on the left is 'Punk Rock and Philosophy: Research and Destroy' and on the right, cover of Rebel Grrrls by Molly Tie.
