digital portrait of a person facing the viewer, with their arms spread out. above and just a bit behind them, a white and tawny owl with black eyes is flying with its wings spread out in a similar gesture. over the person's head, pointing straight down, is a dagger made of dark steel, with a wavy edge to its blade. it is suspended from four red ropes that are pulled taught and keep it in the middle of the web; two of the strands are visibly fraying. the person is a thin young adult, has light brown skin, dark brown eyes and dark brown slightly wavy hair. it is cut short on top and has a longer portion at the bottom that is braided and is resting over their left shoulder. their hair fades to a pale gray at the tips. they are dressed in a white qipao with red skirts peeking from between two slits in the front, a long-sleeved bolero made of white lace that mimics feathers, and a roomy white wrap-around coat. a cape made of grayish brown feathers is thrown over their shoulders. their outfit is decorated with red detailing, such as a wide belt made of intricately tied ropes, frog closures and tassels. attached at their belt is an hourglass and two gloves, one white and the other made of heavy brown leather. the background behind them is beige, with brighter pale blue bringing out the silhouettes.

It's 1:45am and I'm only at 50" on the scarf. Class is at 10am and I need this thing to be 75". We have time in class to weave some, but I want to get it done before then so class doesn't turn into another 5.5 hr slugfest on my brain. Might sleep tho, so sleepy... #weaving #arts-and-crafts #crafting

80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not πŸ˜… I hope you like it! #art

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial-view landscape. It depicts a moorland scene in a range of green shades, about 70% completed.

Hey. I did a thing. Is it good? Not really. Do they look how I wanted? Not even remotely. But did I draw something today? Yep! And would you look at that, they got better as I went along! Sucking at something's the first step to being kinda good (Jake the Dog) is what I tell myself. #art #drawing

A pencil drawing of an owl that looks more like a parrot and a penguin and an owl combined. It's wearing a monocle and a speech bubble says I never! An rough pencil drawing of an Eastern Screech Owl. It looks very surprised and a speech bubble says oh my!A rough pencil drawing of a Western Screech Owl looking to the side with a speech bubble that says hmm...A shot of the sketchpad that has all three of the owls described in the other three pictures on this post
