#OC_TOBER2026 Day 13: Fancy Attire

Wanted to draw more in the Pokemon artstyle (though I did it without any references so it ended up being a little off) so here's Sho and Sel in their fancy Contest outfits! They're waiting backstage for the results of the show or something I dunno

An illustration of two of my Pokemon ocs standing next to each other. Sho: A young woman with dark blue hair and light blue eyes. She wears an off-the-shoulder black top, a fluffy blue and white skirt, two white ribbons in her hair and a black and white choker with lace. Sel: A teen girl with pink-ish light brown hair and yellow eyes. She wears a sleeveless black dress with a fluffy skirt and silver trim and one tall sock that matches. She looks annoyed.

#OC_TOBER2026 Day 12: Genre Swap

Pokemon is a genre, right?

Experimented with coloring the eyes more like the Pokemon style (with a colored middle instead of my normal ring-esque style). Didn't like it very much but I do love how the FeMC's trainer design turned out she's so cute

The two main characters of my main project as Pokemon trainers. Male MC: A guy with purple hair and teal eyes. He wears a black beanie, black t-shirt, purple jacket and black gloves. He has an Espeon. FeMC: A girl with pink hair and pink eyes. She wears a sideways teal and yellow baseball cap, a pink t-shirt and white overalls. She has a Tinkaton

From my own anecdotal experience, most of the comic creators I have followed for awhile as well as myself have experienced it at least once. If it’s not a breakdown, it’s at the least taking a hiatus from your comic to recover. So many creators I have followed over the years have just disappeared 😥

Two things can be true: Webtoons is a bad company + paypros and social media are stifling the reach and monetization of queer expression, AND ALSO, nothing is stopping you from making queer comics and putting them online.

3. I believe there will be a major shift in the way webcomics are consumed in the next five years. 4. Your webcomics are great and these platforms failing and/or shifting their focus doesn’t speak to the quality of your work. It’s them trying to make more money.
