SAG-AFTRA Announces Support for Rockstar Game Workers Union Voluntary Recognition

SAG-AFTRA supports the brave creative workers of Rockstar Games in their efforts to gain union recognition as the Rockstar Game Workers Union (RGWU). SAG-AFTRA urges Rockstar Games to voluntarily recognize the union, and to enter into negotiations and bargain in good faith for a fair work contract for their talented creative workers.

We want to offer our total solidarity with @unitetheunion.bsky.social members at Alexander Dennis who have been striking this month for better pay.

Solidarity With The Workers At Alexander Dennis, Scarborough

Alexander Dennis recently signed a contract for over 200 buses, worth at least £57 million. This £57 million is generated from the skills and labour of the workers, not bosses. Those on the shop floor will, of course, not see their fair share of this revenue. Workers at Alexander Dennis now have a fifth less spending power than they did 5 years ago. This is no accident.
We are all, as workers, united through our experiences of our labour being devalued & exploited by bosses. The IWGB is far too familiar with leadership lining their own pockets with the stolen wages of their employees.

In response to strike action, bosses have made a paltry offer amounting to a real terms pay cut over the next two years. This is a further squeeze on those of us who are already struggling with the everyday reality of a cost of living crisis.

They do not respect the power that we wield.
It's time we remind them that workers united will never be defeated.
