Overall I think the fandom has leaned away from cutesy the last couple of years, most people go for the toothy stuff and neutral color schemes now. You rarely see booths like mine at furry cons but at anime cons they're all over the place

The only semi critique I've gotten is that my color scheme/general vibes are a deterrent. Which I've suspected is the case but that's not something I'm exactly going to change. It's just really hard to not be down on myself about this.

I just don't know what to do man. This is the only job I can work but everything has dried up except con spending. I'm isolated and lonely and spiral when i have to see all my friends at cons without me now. I don't see things EVER getting better. This job will suck the life out of you.

Everyone says my portfolio site looks great, I put a LOT LOT of work into my displays, branding and products I just don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point. Competition is high now yes but I consistently see people with emptier displays and less experience get into cons.

In a place now where I'm not even sure if I want to continue applying for cons. A 100% rejection rate over so many years is recognizably bad for my mental health, I skipped applying for the new local con this year bc I am just not in a place to handle more rejections

Fun Traditional Art Fact™, for most of my illustrations I draw them digitally, print, and then use a lightbox to trace it onto bristol board. People are always surprised to see this when I stream! (Also preview of this months sticker club hehe)
