He is the head of a facility called Horror Show, and creator a monstrous automaton he has dubbed the Ironworks to deal with and retrieve cryptids. Despite his genius he is an unstable mind, his desperation has only lead to more and more dangerous gambits to accomplish his goals.

Today on OC-Tober it's the first major villain of UIR, Dr Styx! A man man that dosed himself on a substance called Nightmare Fuel, Dr. Styx is hellbent on transforming the world how he sees fit and collecting cryptids to do it!

He is basically gonna be a rival of sorts to Ruger. Think a Knuckles/Shadow to Ruger's Sonic. Despite his appearance and origins, Des seems to not be fully convicted to following Madame Del's goals other than to free his parents.

The Wolf of New Orleans The Grunch Road Monster is a cryptid in Louisiana, New Orleans specifically. Descartes is basically a starting Rival for Ruger

Today on OC-Tober is a character I've not had enter the comics yet but will at some point Descartes, a Grunch. One of a few hunters that Madame Del hired to help her find cryptids to control, Des is the offspring of the Grunches, seeking to free them from their imprisonment.

Last little tidbit She is russian. Was probably obvious but wanted to show her doing these so theres the excuse

A minor fun fact, at one point Paradox and Cherry were originally swapped in terms of personalities. Cherry originally being a rather weird vagabond and Paradox the more femme fatale character, ultimately I swapped it because I found those personalities fit the other better

All thats known about the curse is if she acrues enough damage, a new personaltiy forms, one that is filled with violent tendancies. It may very well be her babushka cursed her with the spirit of the yaga, or her mind and body may eventually become one itself...

A vagabond that traveled the country for some time, Tanya is a hard boiled woman, although its thanks to her powers shes forced to be a rambling woman. Her babushka was a witch who placed the curse of the Baba Yaga on her, a curse that hasn't fully revealed its true power.

Today for OC-Tober we have Cherry! A witch with explosive powers, any damage inflicted on her she converts into a volitile and explosive energy. In other works, a walking bomb that only gets stronger the more you fight her.

Monthly poll is up for October!

Continuing on but some characters I've made end up sharing similar inspirations and kind of, dividing traits into different characters, such as Ben and Ruger sharing Edward Elric and actor Brendan Fraser in different roles

Continuing on with Character Design inspirations heres the boards for Paradox, Frankie and Ruger's human and garou forms

His Rougarou form is an oddity, but it is tied to the state of one's soul. Despite Ruger's own insecurities and pain, his soul burns bright and manifests as a rather goofy lookin' wolf you'd see in classic cartoons.

For a long time in his life, Ruger was in a rather depressive state, and at the beginning of TWONO was trying to get his life together, until a rogue rougarou came and upheaved his life he was just getting sorted Now he bares the same curse, except, not nearly as scary looking

For today on OC-Tober its the titular Wolf of New Orleans, Ruger! A young cajun cursed into becoming a magical werewolf with a cartoonish guise.

One day she was out trying to steal from Dr Styx, plans for a teleportation device. She fell into it after being attacked by a mutant bob cat Styx made, and was turned into a teleporting cat girl. For a time, she served as Horror Show's errand gal, before joining Ben's group

Today for OC-Tober stuff, we have our little gremlin cat, Paradox! A former cat burglar mutant catgirl with teleportation powers after being attacked by a guard bobcat and stumbling into a teleportation device. Thank God it wasn't a fly.

Realizing that I may not have enough days for characters this month so, gonna feature two more characters, then make a big old thread for characters at the end
