Checking out the graphics card Sierra On-Line ever sold: the Screamin' 3D! That alone makes it a notable oddity, but it's also a Rendition Verite V1000, which can provide some awesome results!...and a slew of shortcomings and mid-90s quirkiness

I found this old VHS case, but sadly the tape inside was something else. 😕 An episode of The Simpsons from 2003, followed by a long recording of the music channel “MusicMatch USA” (later renamed to Fuse)… at least the box is neat! 📼

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse:

A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is. Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

This just SCREAMS the MSN/ISP free trials at Best Buy where they were built-in to the low price of the crappy eMachines you were buying for college. And then BOOM, monthly service charge after a few months... Ugh...

How far the Apple quality bar has fallen... you can't even update apps anymore. Clicking "Download" just puts you in an endless loop, as seen in the image below. 🤦‍♂️ (And no, I'm not updating the OS, as that'll just break more stuff. 😅)

Due to the recent @nytimes profile on my filmstrip preservation work, several donors have found me and offered more stuff to save. This is all the stuff I've gotten in the past month. My wife and I will be opening these donations live tomorrow night. Please share & join us! https://uncom.cc/w3gwv
