@damenobrien.bsky.socialMy poem, The Edge, was lucky enough to win the Wigtown Poetry Prize this weekend. My thanks to the judge, Ruth Padel for choosing my poem.
It would have been lovely to be there.

@damenobrien.bsky.socialI recently received my copy of the Ware 28th Competition Anthology which contains my poem 'Cruelty'. Lovely to be among such great poets.
@damenobrien.bsky.socialThanks, Denise! There is an Anthology so I will post a photo when it comes out.
@damenobrien.bsky.socialThanks, IS&T! A vote for me is a vote for world peace. You all want world peace, don't you?
@damenobrien.bsky.socialMy thanks to the judge, Deanne Leber and WA Poets.
@damenobrien.bsky.socialSurprised but happy to win the Poetry D'Amour Prize last week, announced at the Perth Poetry Festival for my poem 'Sleeping In'! I don't typically write love poetry because I can't resist being transgressive and questioning the whole concept. This poem was closest to the brief!
