I voted against a Republican farm bill that fell short on support for farmers, and I opposed an agriculture funding bill that cut USDA staffing for farmer assistance programs. Our farmers feed us, and they deserve a Congress that fights for them.

The U.S. lost 15,000 farms in 2025, according to USDA, and Ohio lost about 400 of them. Only the largest operations grew, while small and mid-sized family farms are the ones being squeezed out.

Built in 1821 by Quakers Thomas and Charity Rotch, Spring Hill was a station on the Underground Railroad, where the family hid freedom seekers and helped guide them toward Canada, including a hidden staircase still preserved in the home today.
