@jackiev.bsky.socialReposted by @mozarteffect.bsky.socialI worked in book publishing for 13 years. Wages were shit but especially shit for NYC. Was only able to make rent by moving in with my husband (then boyfriend) early. Publishing got away with exploiting workers since NYU always had a parade of new grads coming out of their book pub program
@djregular.techReposted by @mozarteffect.bsky.socialBecause the Propositions system in Cali is a mess, I'd recommend a resource like Calmatters Propositions guide as a good start for figuring out where you stand.
@vagabondvivant.comReposted by @mozarteffect.bsky.socialHere's a quick reference sheet of the props and who endorses what. Should make things simple for folks.
@catspawdtp.bsky.socialReposted by @mozarteffect.bsky.socialThe only purpose of California Propositions 41 and 42 is to emasculate Prop 40, the so-called Billionaire Tax. Every voter in the state who wants to see billionaires pony up a flea-bite of their vast society-distorting wealth needs to vote YES on 40 and NO on 41 and 42.

@maxnovem.artReposted by @mozarteffect.bsky.socialHey, this is big and really important if you like comics even a little bit. Comixology was bought, enshittified, and killed by Amazon. But Sweetshop is open now. It's rad, and they're not assholes.
