This week, Indigenous leaders and parliamentarians across Canada and Amazonian countries are mobilizing against the expansion of fossil fuels.
As Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chief Na'Moks says, we are joining together to fight for our land, air and water.
Today, Parliamentarians and Indigenous leaders from both regions are joining forces to mobilize for a just energy transition and accountability.

Denying the climate crisis doesn’t stop it from existing.
International solidarity against fossil fuel expansion is being built energized right now in Ottawa, at the halls of so-called power. Indigenous leaders and parliamentarians from South America and Canada are uniting.
We are so grateful for this grassroots-led action that held this nuance and underscored the importance of working people building bridges and refusing to let government and industry pit us against one another.
At the same time, the B.C. government is still upholding volume base export, including exporting raw or rough-milled logs when we should be focused on manufacturing finished products in this province, which would create significantly more jobs.
...continuing to log old growth is NOT a winning long term economic strategy. Mills are continuing to shutter as big logging corporations like Canfor, owned by billionaire Jim Pattison, move to the Southern U.S. with the profit-margin shift, which is a reflection of their priority.
