Another writer fleeing Twitter. 30 years of videogame-adjacent scrawling and also, these days, weird short stories. Pics of cats, books and foxes likely.
@lightspeedmagazine.comReposted by @leighloveday.bsky.socialAccording to Kickstarter tracking service, Kicktraq, the LIGHTSPEED + NIGHTMARE campaign is trending toward only reaching 94% of our goal. So WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP. If you love SF, fantasy, and horror short fiction, please consider backing today and sharing this post. bit.ly/LS-NM-26
@icebird.bsky.socialReposted by @leighloveday.bsky.socialGood morning! Come fly with me along State Beach, Martha’s Vineyard, to the famous JAWS bridge.
@leighloveday.bsky.socialJustice happened! Congrats on the double 🍾
@leighloveday.bsky.socialCongrats to all last night's BFS award winners! Glad I took a punt and entered the Short Story Competition, this is a frankly ridiculous environment to get a mention - huge thanks @mkhardywrites.com and judges for the highly commended nod 🥹
@leighloveday.bsky.socialLovely old Hearth & Coffin, deceased but all issues still online: www.hearthandcoffin.com
@leighloveday.bsky.socialHappy #Caturday from Void Baby, just a tiny jaunty vampire
@psychopomp.comReposted by @leighloveday.bsky.socialhello, I am doing some research and would like to tap into the collective brains of BSKY: 1. can you share some genre or literary fiction magazines that have closed and the archive is NO LONGER ONLINE 2. the same but the archives remain online FOR NOW i would also appreciate RTs for awareness 💀

@leighloveday.bsky.socialYeah, I mean there's no denying it's a chonky lad, but this feels like some sort of arbitrary 'event tax' targeting people who've already waited ages for this, so I hope it backfires rather than becomes the norm
@leighloveday.bsky.socialSaw these in the supermarket. No. Why? No.
@leighloveday.bsky.socialI did a 180 in Waterstones after seeing those two little numbers and slid it right back onto the shelf. China, love your work but your publishers are mugging us right off here my friend
@leighloveday.bsky.social35 pounds though. 35! Pounds!
@leighloveday.bsky.socialThat's all we can do. Hope the rest of the year is a damn sight better for you!
@therelphian.bsky.socialReposted by @leighloveday.bsky.socialMy little post-apoc flash is up today with @apricotpress.bsky.social. Thanks to Lizzie for publishing this in their Hope series.

@leighloveday.bsky.socialBy the end I was just like "No, stop. Please stop showing them. Can we go back to when you didn't show them?"
@leighloveday.bsky.socialHope is such a strange, self-destructive film. For that exhilarating first hour I was itching to recommend it as soon as I got out of the cinema. Then the next hour and a half happened.
@leighloveday.bsky.socialThey put out some bangers! Most people remember My Favourite Game or Lovefool, but Erase/Rewind is one of my fave tracks of the '90s 👌
@leighloveday.bsky.socialAlways loved the fact that they gave no shits and used that whole line as the title.

@leighloveday.bsky.socialYou too Tracie, good luck - 'Dinners with Ghosts' is a beauty!
@leighloveday.bsky.socialMore than one of my favourite things I've ever written has made its way to Trash Cat. Chuffed to see 'Threequarter Lane' here, a story as much about a Big Mood as its cast of characters (two) or setting (ambiguous). So much other good stuff on this list too!
