What started with exposing industrial krill fishing in Antarctica is now helping change what ends up on store shelves around the world.

These are some of the many faces ocean protection can take. 🌊🏴‍☠️

Different places demand different actions, but every campaign is driven by the same belief: marine life is worth defending, wherever it is threatened.

Across West Africa and the South Pacific, it means supporting authorities as they inspect fishing vessels and enforce the law. In the Mediterranean, it means pulling illegal gear from the seabed and releasing trapped wildlife.

In Antarctica, it means confronting an industrial krill fleet threatening the foundation of an entire ecosystem. In the Faroe Islands, it means documenting the Grindadráp and standing with the pilot whales and dolphins being killed.

Ocean protection does not look the same everywhere.

The ocean is not something separate from our lives. It regulates the climate, produces much of the oxygen we breathe and supports life across the planet. Yet we continue to treat it as an endless resource and a dumping ground.
