Rep. Bobby Scott called on the Dept. of Health & Human Services' Office of Inspector General to open an investigation following concerns that the agency provided incorrect or fraudulent info as part of ongoing lawsuits into DOGE's infiltration of govt information systems.

Americans deserve to see DOGE investigated in the new Congress, and our reps should commit to making this happen. More constituents are organizing to make their voices heard. Our community in Kansas, Washington, Missouri, & Florida ramped up their postcard delivery campaigns in this last week!
The climate-driven insurability crisis is pummeling New York. There's a bill that could change all that — but we need your stories to pass it. Take a few minutes to complete our community survey and share how increased insurance costs are impacting your life. Link in bio!
"Did we learn nothing from DOGE?…Donald Trump is again handing this same unelected billionaire sweeping influence over military strategy and autonomous warfare under Project Meridian." @teslatakedown.com #InvestigateDOGE

They wouldn't be blocking investigations if there wasn't something to hide...
Head to the link in our bio to help pressure even more lawmakers to publicly commit to investigating DOGE!
It's getting likelier that we'll see Musk and DOGE investigated in the new Congress. Here's why.
“Without the ability to examine the requested information, Congress & the public lack assurance that the 6 reviewed agencies implemented controls needed to ensure DOGE team members appropriately secured information,” the GAO said 2/2

The Government Accountability Office released another DOGE report. The watchdog isn’t sure if the our most sensitive personal data was protected after Trump admin run federal agencies provided incomplete information and the SBA and VA didn’t engage with it. 1/2
Defeating the coal industry is possible — the trends in Europe and Asia prove it — but global phaseout will require us in America to reign in the big banks keeping this “deadly and dying” industry on life support. Join the fight.
Notably, while many banks exited the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, a majority of them do still uphold their coal restrictions. But BoA, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo have gone the opposite direciton, going full throttle in torching our planet with coal.
The report notes that, outside of China, US banks are the biggest coal financiers. US banks “increased their support for the global coal industry by 23% from $13.6 billion in 2022 to $16.7 billion in 2025.” Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo are the worst offenders in coal financing.
Because of that rift, total global coal financing flatlined in the years following Glasgow’s COP26. Which regions are ramping up coal financing? The US, China, Indonesia, and South Korea. These countries’ banks effectively offset the phasedown of financing by the rest of the globe’s banks.
This trend demonstrates what’s possible in our fight against arguably the most dangerous source of climate-killing pollution. Much meaningful coal phaseout is happening before our eyes! But Urgewald’s report also shows a major rift in the banking sector visible in global coal financing trends.
Though Asia is still a “stronghold of the coal industry,” major Asian financiers adopted new coal restrictions which are evidenced by a rapid decline in lending to the industry over the last five years. Notably, Taiwanese banks SLASHED coal financing by OVER HALF between 2022 and 2025!
UK banks, though, have increased their funding of the coal industry, a trend that is particularly driven by Barclays, the continent’s largest funder of coal. They provided $5.7 billion since Glasgow and increased their annual coal financing by 34%, from $1.2 billion in 2022 to $1.6 billion in 2025.
A primary finding of the report (and great news to celebrate): between 2022 and 2025, top EU financiers reduced their financing of coal projects BY A WHOPPING 46%! The report notes that this trend has important implications worldwide, because many EU banks are global financiers.
MAJOR NEW REPORT ALERT: Published by our partners at Urgewald, the Still Banking on Coal report shows the vulnerabilities of global financing for coal in the years after the 2021 climate conferences Glasgow. Read the report here, and major takeaways in the 🧵
