I think tapes don't hold up as well as vinyl? I had some tapes I played the hell of that got very wonky sounding toward the end of their lives.

Update: Only a day of fever and feeling crummy! Maybe my immune system is finally moving past its tantruming toddler stage??

Vinyl from when I was a mere tot (teen?)! The jacket is beat up as hell, but the record still plays great. The Immaculate Collection's a sweet groove, too. Nicely curated.

Yeah, I am very keen on not getting shingles. Everything I hear about it is very terrible. And I like the reduced chance of dementia. So I will suffer my toddler body tantrum!

Yes! I listened to True Blue again the other day for the first time in ages (bc my CD player is busted and this is an album I have on vinyl), and I was struck by how great it still is!

Thank you~! I want all the life-saving protections of these great vaccines, but I seriously wish my immune system was not so enthusiastic about welcoming them into my body.

Got jabbed with my second dose of shingles vaccine, so I'm now waiting to see how wildly my immune system overreacts. Past experience with vaccines says my body will soon be tantruming like a toddler presented with a treat beloved until this very moment when that treat became food enemy number one.

Reflecting on my time interpreting for TIFF this year, I realized that I spoke the words "He made her put an eel up my butt" for the first time in my life in either English or Japanese. New experiences are still out there for the taking.
