We recently hosted several members of the Muddy Creek Artists Guild for an art reception. The "A Roving Band of Intrepid Southern Anne Arundel Artists" exhibition will remain on display through November at the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County Gateway Gallery, near Departures Level Door 10.

The 6-year CTP includes funding for finishing touches of our A/B Connector, which opened to passengers earlier this year. In addition to BWI projects, the Maryland Aviation Administration is also helping support a pavement project at Fort Meade Executive Airport.

This weekend, we hosted members of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

The group received a behind the scenes tour of the airport. They were also offered presentations from airport leadership, @tsa.gov and FBI.

A solemn dignified transfer was held at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport today to welcome home U.S. Army Pfc. Owen Norris. Pfc. Norris, of Marriottsville, MD was killed in 1944 during WWII at the West Loch disaster. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency recently identified his remains.

The BWI Marshall Airport Fire and Rescue Department offered a ceremonial water salute to welcome the American Airlines flight carrying the remains of Pfc. Norris.

Several family members along with many airport personnel and other supporters attended the solemn dignified transfer today.

Dozens of personnel were on hand for the ceremony.

Our Runway 10-28 Rehabilitation project remains on time with only a couple weeks of work remaining.

Crews have worked around the clock to mill down and rebuild the entire runway, including its intersection with Runway 15R-33L.

We held a 9/11 remembrance ceremony this morning with the BWI Marshall Airport community to honor those lost in the events that transpired 25 years ago today. The program featured a wreath-laying ceremony, the playing of Taps and the reading of names of each Marylander lost on that day.

Our Operations and Maintenance team recently hosted a U.S. Air Force group based at Joint Base Andrews. The partnership provided both teams with valuable information related to snow removal, pavement maintenance and overall airport operations.
