Interesting! I don't have a PSP (I was playing this on PC), but it's interesting to see what choices people make when they remake a game.

And that's fine. Different people enjoy different approaches and aspects of games, even in the same subgenre. I've liked a lot of tactical RPGs. This wasn't for me. In honor of spooky season, I started Dredge. Just an hour and a half in, but I'm enjoying it. 85% relaxing, 15% eldritch horror. 🎣🐙

XP is capped by your progression through the story. Money & gear are only awarded in story battles. So if you find yourself struggling in the story & have already spent your $, that's it, you're screwed. Start over from the beginning. My playstyle is more "try everything," which this isn't about.

Confession: I bailed on Tactics Ogre after 20 hours. It's a good game, I was enjoying it, but I don't mesh with the "you must know the optimal buildout and follow it to the letter from the beginning, or else you're up shit creek" style. Lots of people enjoy that style, but it's not for me.

Romelia War Chronicle might be a favorite this season. - "~Kicked out of the party~" bc I'm from a grounded sociopolitical maneuvering type show and they're from a tropey video game style show - Actually ACTUALLY caring about non-nobles holy hell - Not based on a webnovel, sorry not sorry

We're going new/old/new/old and aiming for movies neither of us have seen. Last week was Backrooms; next week is Sinners. Still partly undecided for week 4; it might be Carrie. 🤔

Kino's Journey AND a Spice & Wolf spinoff?? Okay, I'm listening. 🎉

Productivity as an adult is just an endless process of applying new psychological tricks and operant conditioning to yourself until an acceptable number of tasks are completed.

This one should be fun, though. New location within the setting and a pack of ragtag misfits. Uh, a different pack of ragtag misfits than last time. (look, I have specialties. M/F friendships, contentious roommates, sad bisexuals, and ragtag misfits)

So I think switching is in order, one section / phase of the story with each (no back & forth), each with their own mini character arc as the larger story unfolds. Almost like a series within a series. This may be a mistake. I do like trying new things, consequences be damned.🤷

WIP / Novella 12 is finally "living in the back of my head," although I'm not sure who the other narrators will be. Flying without a net, a bit. Narr. 1 is an angry weasel herbalist, bc it was past time for a beastfolk MC. But she's not directly involved with the entire plot.

Had a dream last night that I started learning guitar again. Maybe I'll take a cue and finally do it. (I learned some in 2024, then just...stopped.) 🤔 Can't hurt, except our eardrums.

This one is still my favorite, though, can't help it

My brain chemistry is doing its damnedest to pull me down, but *counterpoint*, there's a new Daði Freyr album out SO THERE, BRAIN

The "hello" in the title is baffling to me, but this show looks pretty cute from the first ep. (Romances! About! Adults!!) Looking forward to more.

this post brought to you by my noise-cancelling headphones running out of charge 💀

someone is cold-bloodedly murdering "We Didn't Start the Fire" in the park right now, and honestly, A+ way to spend a Thursday afternoon.

Emotional me: I'm obviously doing something wrong. I'm at like 10 human(?) followers and 200 bots. This is abnormal. Rational me: If someone you don't know likes a post, your immediate reaction is suspicion. If you got even 1k followers, you'd throw your phone in the ocean. EM: your point is?

* I can't wait until someone comes up with a snappy name for this, so people stop screaming at me in reviews about how evil I am for having my characters be imperfect
