For communities in Kasese, independence must also mean the ability to prepare for floods, restore damaged ecosystems, access clean energy & protect livelihoods.
We strongly believe resilience grows when communities lead & local solutions receive the support they deserve.
@bambooshooti.bsky.socialReposted by @marufoundation.bsky.socialThis breaks my heart. Between 2011 and 2025, the Antarctic island Zavodovski lost nearly two-thirds of its chinstrap penguins due to climate change. Scientists say the species should be designated as "endangered" because of these alarming declines.

@marufoundation.bsky.socialUganda 🇺🇬 At 64 years of independence.
Freedom must also translate into resilient communities, protected ecosystems, clean energy & dignified livelihoods.
From Kasese, we remain committed to a Uganda where communities lead their own development & no one is left behind.
@marufoundation.bsky.socialMay be a small portion would be considered for a grassroots nonprofit organization in Uganda Eastern Africa helping promote climate action, public health, clean solar energy and livelihoods.

One powerful message to the federal government: Stop violating charter rights by perpetuating dangerous #climatechange and develop an adequate, science-based climate plan now. #ResistanceEarth

@bambooshooti.bsky.socialReposted by @marufoundation.bsky.socialIt's early in the arguments, but the Supreme Court seems divided over the City and County of Boulder's lawsuit against oil producers, demanding compensation for climate change damages. A tie would allow Boulder's lawsuit to move forward in state court.

@readfearn.bsky.socialReposted by @marufoundation.bsky.socialA month of broken records for temperatures around Australia. Hottest September ever for minimums across the continent, scores of places setting records for warmest September. A snow depth gauge in the NSW alps fell to zero - a first for any September since it was deployed in 1954.
