Beat, Heart, Beat Early Access is OUT NOW!!!
LMAO I love the shades and club ambience being in-game and on camera! ๐ Feels like you're right there with Majima and co ๐ ๐ชฉ
๐ฅฐ I can't describe how happy that makes me, Charlie. I'm sure I will have more Frogbo to share soonโthe little frog is a part of me, after all! ๐ธ ๐ฉท
Dittoing Jubilee! Thank you so very much Pamela!! ๐ญ I'm happy I'm present to answer an excellent question. Even if I'm still in the thick of building up the energy and passion to write again... being prompted on my work? Having it validated and appreciated?? I'm filled with courage. Thank you. ๐ซถ
I will try my very darndest to have a book or even more links to stories to show by then; until now my work's pretty much exists in snips and messy drafts ๐คญ But I would LOVE to be there next year!! I bet I can make it :>
I'm so grateful my sincerity shines through my words so I can tell you I'm happy I exist and I'm talking with you and enjoying your art so much it has me taking a stab at it for myself. You are an inspiration to me as an artist, as a woman and as a sister. ALL! You're the best big sister, Jubes. ๐ฉท๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
I have returned to provide all the whimsurdity I can! ๐ฅฐ It's lovely to see you Jeb- I hope you've been having a fabulous time at PAX!! ๐ซถ
I was asked this by the actually-unbelievable @jmweaverauthor.bsky.social, the writer of Savage as You, which has not only made me laugh out harder than any book has, but has no-joke, being-so-real inspired me to read and write again when I was at my lowest. I love this book. PLEASE READ IT!!!
It pleases me surreally I can make readers smile a bit, let alone laugh! I'm happy. At the end of the day, I'm holding two thumbs and forefingers in a square, looking through, and describing what I see. I don't know if I'm doing it right? But I like doing it this way. I'm so glad you like it too. ๐ฉท
...But not always! Sometimes, a joke just hits right when it's a complete non-sequitur. As long as it makes me laugh, really anything goes! Oftentimes I'll have a big joke planned but completely change it to a new joke I thought of while writing. I'm temperamental and laugh too hard at my own jokes!
In other words: for me, "plotting" is the rough sketch, while "writing" is giving the sketch form and shape! Often my outline gags make absolutely no sense. So I sit on it and try to give it context, a place to be in the story with meaning and reason. Sometimes I can even make the joke CLEVER! Wow!
I would say my process is similar to how musicians approach songwriting! The "plotting" phase is chaos; it's all energy, absurdities and working by feeling and no sense; all meat, no bone! After that, I think a lot. Ironically, the "writing" phase is where the plotting actually happens! OOPS.
ME? ๐ฅบ This is such a boost: thank you Jubieeeee!! I'm so proud to be known for my whimsy and absurdity. ๐ฅฐ Writing what makes me laugh or constructing jokes carefullyโfor me, the answer is nestled in the in-between! A sweet spot, say, betwixt spontaneity and reigned-in...eity. I try to tow a line. ๐งต
Doing great, Chris! I hope you're well too. ๐ซถ
Lovely to see you as always Ewan!! ๐ ๐ซถ
Thank you Chris, it's great to be back and wonderful to see you!!! ๐ญ ๐ซถ
๐ญ Us fall cardigan girlies gotta stick together! ๐ฉท
Don't worryโI surely do! ๐ ๐ซถ
I figured it was a special Halloween season surprise! ๐คญ ๐ป Oh my gosh thank you so much Anna. You make a lady blush! I'll be sure to squeeze (myself into) more dresses on the timeline going forward. They make me just as pleased! ๐ฅฐ ๐ฉท
