Cinnamon Brownsugar: A young fairy who works at the same library-gardens that Maryanne leads, usually selling concessions like coffee and lemonade from a cart, or cleaning up around the place. She’s earnest, energetic, curious, and has an adventurous heart of gold, wanting to be of help wherever she can. But she can be rudely blunt and oblivious, can get overwhelmed with her emotions, and like many fairies, often has trouble understanding people and the right manners to use at the right time. In other words, she can be a real brat.

As a fairy, she’s got some access to a few magical abilities innately, such as shrinking down to several inches high or making her fairy wings invisible, but she usually prefers doing things the regular way. She does flying around a lot, though. She likes to say words that "are fun to say," even if that means fumbling her words. If she gets really excited, she starts to flap her arms and wings in place to burn some of it off. She’s got a real sweet tooth, especially for frozen treats like ice cream or blended coffees.

Toffee Albertsdottir: A tall and lithe mouse girl in her late 20s who housemates with Cinnamon. She works as a mechanic – if you’ve got a problem with vehicle, she’s your woman! She’s smooth, collected, and laid back, knowing herself better than her housemate and able to be the adult in the room when she needs to. She’s real cocky too, knowing what she’s good at and often indulging in smugness. Perseverance is her strongest virtue; if it doesn’t look like something, she’s quick to improvise with to come up with something that will work on the fly.

Her tail is prehensile, and she can even grab stuff with it – she uses it when tuning up vehicles to get into tough spots, wrapping in a hand towel beforehand to glove it. When not doing anything active with it, she likes to wear a bandanna on it. Since she’s so tall, she’d developed a habit of patting people on the head and ruffling their hair -- even those taller than her.
