I tuned into your playthrough every day, it was a lot of fun!
I agree, all of that was in release except for the super detailed scrollable map PNG. But like they say, you can lead a dumbass to water but can't make them drink
This specific person at least admits they're bad. Which makes leaving a negative review more perplexing. Personally I'm only leaving a negative review on landlords and if something gave me diarrhea, and for the latter it still depends
You can add signposts, characters that tell you exactly where to go, a character that adds dungeons on the map, a literal PNG of the map itself, and some people still refuse to pay attention & leave a negative review anyway. Really drains motivation to make another one of these

One of the coolest things you can do in a videogame is figure it out on your own. Either by learning the lay of the land, or clicking with an outside-the-box puzzle, there is value in engaging with games that you can't obtain with guides. This is why some of us reject handholding.
It's really cool when people engage with the game as if it's art, and not a checklist of content to consume
Ironic because one of the main narrative themes is about moving forward, how planting the seed for the future is still worth it even if you don't get to see the tree grow yourself. It's not about looking to the past at all. I specifically designed dungeons around gimmicks that couldn't be done on GB
This has to be one of my favorite Games of all Time now. i cannot stress enough how much of an absolute Pleasure Isle of Reveries is. Top tier exploration. So many secret and quests to find. The Puzzles are master class. To to overcomplicated but not "spell out" easy. Im just so happy i played this

The dungeons go a lot further than what was possible on GB -- complete layout altering mechanics in each one with seasons, time travel, etc. And there's also the main copy & spawn mechanic which the closest things to that are TotK's autobuild and EoW's echoes
It's okay, thanks for the review!
One correction to your review: there is NOT a bug with the bestiary. You have to take a picture of an enemy to reveal what it drops, not defeat it a certain number of times.

Today I Played: Isle of Reveries
It's not breaking the mold, but by the nine it followed the recipe nearly to the letter and sprinkled on its own toppings for the best Zelda-like I think i've seen for the PC crowd.
If Mina was too combat forward, this one is for you.
Literally throw something in -- mushroom, pumpkin, etc.
