it's like. there's the background, there's the "main" characters, and then there's the crowd that hasn't even been sketched in yet it's like 3-4 fully renderer illustrations in one. ngl the 3-point perspective ruler is doing a lot of legwork. would be impossible without it

on the Big Dumb Drawing the background lineart is pretty much done... it's unusual for us to pace work on a drawing in chunks rather than trying to marathon the whole thing. but honestly that's probably the only way we'll survive making it

some of you might notice this bridge doesn't completely match the sketch in the quoted post this is because it turns out i fucked up with the axes of the perspective ruler and drew one side along the wrong one! fuck!

since i wound up with some goldfish stickers it felt kinda cute to reference this thing... I'm still very fond of it

i guess mixed media by technicality, i got some flower stickers as a bonus for ordering some sets and they're Too Big to be used anywhere. so they had to go somewhere
