I'm a little mixed on Seven Havens so far but I am interested to keep going since there is stuff here narratively that I do find very intriguing. Plus the music is great too. We'll have to see but those are my thoughts.
Also the pacing feels off and a little too fast. I wasn't the biggest fan of the title sequence cuz it felt way too fast. The episodes have a commercial break cut to black thing, yet that doesn't make sense for a show on streaming so I'm confused on the choice.
Some things overall feel evenly spaced with their motion. I point this out cuz there are moments where the animated sequences are really nice and smooth, yet its very few so far. I would like the character acting to be pushed, especially in the more comedic moments. It just feels flat.
I think the expressions and exaggeration in Avatar: Seven Havens are very weak. It feels very limited in a way that comes off too afraid to break the model of the characters. I guess I would say uncharacteristically stiff. Some smears, favoring, and a dash of overshooting would help imo.
I was hoping for new costumes but years 2 still looks pretty fun.
wow, Blackwood and Sephiroth meeting can actually be true lol
I'm at a spot where I need to just drop a lot of things. Especially stuff I've been holding onto for the past few years.
That's my little thing on that. I love SG but for where it is right now it's hard to be a fan.
I really haven't been happy with how things were going for a few years. Ya hate to see one of your favorite games lose its overall charm just because of folks above making decisions that degrade that charm, ya know?
I haven't always agreed with the choices that were given to SG. There were some things that felt very baffling to be overall unnecessary in my opinion. So seeing where things are now I'm hoping that the community really takes the reins on this I.P.
The recent SG art contest stuff is really sad to see, retroactively changing a rule that was vague to start with is a really bad move. I'm pretty chill with NSFW cuz I think it's fun, so seeing that be discouraged is just odd to me when it comes to Skullgirls.
I have fully accepted the idea of not working on SG officially. I think for future SG stuff it'll be community driven or my own stuff. I want to make prints similar to the Eightysixed ones but on my own terms. I think the red tape has reached its limit.
I have a few ideas on how I wanna draw Mina, but I'm gonna wait until I finish the game. I love this adventure so far
Septemburg has hands. That damn Wind and Lightning gimmick was not fun to juggle near the end. It was frustrating in my opinion. Especially with those enemies. I do love the chase sequences from "him" though. That shit had me freaking out but in a "this is awesome and I'm cooked" kind of way.
BEAUTIFUL MEMORY
