The U.S. now pumps more oil and gas than Saudi Arabia and Russia COMBINED, and fossil fuel corporations plan to pump even more.

US oil & gas jobs: 114,500 in June — near-record low. Production: near-record high. Chevron: 9,000 cuts. ConocoPhillips: 20-25%. ExxonMobil: 2,000. 'Nobody at Chevron got a pink slip because a wind farm opened next door.' Mergers did this. Not clean energy. 📉

Same industry.
Fewer jobs.
Near-record production.

Production: up.
Employment: 114,500 -- second lowest June on record.

Chevron: up to 9,000 jobs cut.

BP: 5 percent staff plus 3,000 contractors

ConocoPhillips: 20 to 50 percent

Exxon Mobil: 2,000

This isn't renewable energy taking oil jobs. It's mergers, automation, and a decade of investors demanding returns.

Don't let Big Oil blame the clean energy transition.

Executives complained about Vermont and NY Climate Superfund laws. Stephen Miller texted AG Bondi: 'I'm on it.'

Two months later: DOJ sued both states.

Six years ago, the August Complex Fire became the largest wildfire in California history.

We said never again.
The fires have only gotten worse.

In the first half of 2026 alone:
35,000+ fires.
3 million+ acres burned.

Significantly exceeding 10 year averages.

42% of Western wildfire damage between 2001-2024 occurred during or immediately after a heat wave.

CA can't control federal offshore drilling. But it controls the pipelines that make it profitable. AB 1448 bans state infrastructure from new federal leases. Mandates leak detection + auto-shutoffs. Thanks to our state leaders for supporting the bill & fighting for our coast.

556 CA public schools sit within 3,200 ft of an oil or gas well. 304 serve kindergarteners & preschoolers. LAUSD: 165 schools (13%). Long Beach: 22 of 94 schools (23%). Trump is suing CA to gut the law that protects these kids. No child should go to school next to a leaking well.
