As posted in our community server earlier this week, FluxFur is now officially supported on the Fluxer Desktop app! Simply install the canary client version, and specify your alternate instance to be "fluxfur.com" on the login option, and you'll be logging into our services with the official client

Pokemon furries: discord is apparently banning you for posting lewds of small pokemon if you do it in large servers in particular. don't get banned. especially if you need discord for commissions or something. Move your big public servers off platform.

As of today: Yes, on the newest build of the Fluxer desktop app (as of writing, only on the canary build of the main client)

You are one of the major target demographics we wish to offer a platform to for this exact reason. Multiple furry sub-communities have been hit with this exact problem with little recourse from discord, which sucks. - the pokefur founder (Puddles)

People will have to fork them and reroute their API endpoints (either the original creator or someone with the source code), but yes and we have a couple on FluxFur already

We'll be delayed just a bit, looks like there's some issues on Fluxer side that's being worked out on enabling the feature, but once we got the all clear, we'll be going down for the maintenance. So any moment.

We will be going down for quick maintenance (about an hour, if that) at 12 PM CDT. Fluxer now supports threads and forums and will be releasing the desktop app support for self-instances (such as ourselves) shortly. The maintenance is in preparation for these features.

We don't really see ourselves as competitors to the main instance, and hope eventually to federate over there when that feature is available. By all means, try out all platforms. Ultimately, we were founded by people skeptical of large platforms and wanted to provide an option for folks like us.

Mastodon instances (which "federate" with each other across sites/instances and share posts that way). We are how bridging to that system for our own posts to populate over there

We fully encourage folks to use Fluxer Proper, but a lot of our friends have been burned by large platforms, and we opted to provide an alternative. We currently have a few thousand users and a few hundred servers

We are using Fluxer's software to create our own instance. We cater specifically to a pro-furry, pro-lgbt, pro-kink crowd and all of our user's data is self-hosted by like-minded folks on hardware owned by another like-minded host. We want to provide a reliably friendly space.

Nothing for our actual platform; but our bluesky account will now cross-post to a mastodon proxy for folks over there to see anything we post here
