I am not showing a launch scheduled so this could be a personnel/replenishment flight or there could be an unscheduled military launch (ICBM?). RUS has historically held a Strategic Missile Forces exercise in Oct (GROM) but it was held in May this year.

On 14 Oct VKS An-148 RA-61734 flew from Moscow (CKL) to Plesetsk (Cosmodrome) returning to Moscow after approximately an hour on the ground, albeit with some pretty messed up tracking.

Xian Y-20 were headed west early this morning, likely to pick up troops/equipment.

17 Xi’an Y-20 now active with many headed east.

15 Xi’an Y-20 active with many headed east.

All N/A aircraft are Xi’an Y-20.

I have a filter set up to watch the Chinese Air Force aircraft but usually do not post on them; however, lately I have seen more Y-20 aircraft active. So, they have either began squawking more or there are a lot more of them active.

He has in the past gone on trips to Africa because as a Muslim, he presents a ‘kinder, sympathetic face’ of RUS to its African clients/partners.

As this aircraft left from (CKL) and is using ‘RFF’ (Russian Federation VKS) these flights are likely military related and as it is traveling through Africa, I suspect Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov was on board.

On 08 Oct SFS Il-62M CLASSIC RA-86561 RFF7411 flew from Moscow (CKL) to Benghazi LBY. On 09 Oct it continued on to Bamako MLI as RFF7417 and on 10 Oct to Brazzaville COD later departing and flying to Antananarivo MDG. It took off on 12 Oct and flew to Dar-es-Salaam TZA then returned to Benghazi.

RA-96018 flew to Islamabad PAK.

On 12 Oct SFS Il-96 CAMBER RA-96018 RSD338 took off from Moscow (VKO) and is headed south. The last time RSD338 was used was in Jan when this aircraft flew to Havana CUB via Casablanca MAR.

On 10 Oct VKS Il-76MD-90A CANDID RF-78658 also make a trip to Bamako staging out of Khmejmim Airbase SYR.

After making trips to Bamako MLI on 04 & 06 Oct to support Russia’s combined aviation group and the Afrikanskij Korpus base, on 08 Oct SFS An-124 CONDOR RA-82035 departed Moscow (CKL) and on 11 Oct again flew to Bamako (via LBY) returning to Khmejmim Airbase SYR later.

On 11 Oct Tu-204 VIP RA-64059 RSD912 flew from Moscow (VKO) to Pyongyang PRK. RSD912 was used once before on a flight to Riyadh SAU in Oct 2025 by Tu-214 VIP RA-64521. I never did find out who was on that flight. I suspect there is a high ranking government official(s) on the flight to Pyongyang,
