When did you first realize that your government lies? I first realized this after my enlistment had ended in the U.S. Marine Corps, attending college on the G.I.Bill, and after reading two (2) books, "Vietnam a History" by Stanley Karnow, and The Autobiography of Malcom X, by Alex Haley.

(2). however, after seeing the affect Vietnam had on returning Veterans at Camp Pendleton; especially, in the barracks while standing on Fire-watch, at night; I realized how fortunate I had been.

The smartest thing I did when I enlisted was the delayed entry program which meant I had to graduate from High School before I could attend boot camp. My cousin enlisted in 71 or 72 , wrote me a profanity filled letter stating what a dumb-fuck I was. But, delayed entry meant I missed the big show;

I was on this Marine site and had to leave because, those maga Marines were actually in support of that criminal MF’er. I asked them what U.S. Marine Corps did they serve in; because, it definitely wasn’t the same one that I served in. Semper Fi, Marine.

You’re one (1) of my heroes my cousin participated in the evacuation after Saigon fell and never talked about it until last year; he told me that everyone who wanted to leave couldn’t fit on those evacuation ships and many were left behind.
