Toured the Eastgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Providence with the providers who help Rhode Islanders recover from incidents and help seniors age with dignity. I'll keep working to ensure access and availability of high-quality nursing facilities.

Disaster aid shouldn’t be a political favor the President doles out to his cronies in tough elections. RI should’ve received federal help after February’s historic blizzard. Congress must pass the Disaster Relief Fairness Act & stop Trump from playing politics with FEMA funds.

Enjoyed visiting Child & Family in Middletown to hear how their services help thousands of vulnerable kids, families, and seniors. From early childhood education to foster care support, and much more, I’m grateful for their work to help every member of our community thrive.

Just remember: Trump gutted USAID, slashed our public health workforce, and withdrew from the WHO. Whether it’s the pneumonic plague or Ebola, we’re less prepared to track and respond to outbreaks. We deserve better.
