Protesting is an important part of our democracy, which is why my office issued a guide to help Vermonters understand their rights while engaging in protest. If you want to participate in a protest but you’re unsure about what your rights are, this guide will be a helpful resource for you.

This morning, I joined Congresswoman Becca Balint, Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas, and State Senator Ruth Hardy in Middlebury for a Youth Town Hall to hear from young Vermonters about issues shaping their communities. Our democracy is stronger when the voices of all generations are heard.

This afternoon, I spoke with the Education and Enrichment for Everyone coalition, a lifelong learning organization, about our efforts to defend the Constitution. Staying engaged is essential to a healthy democracy—I was grateful to be part of the coalition’s discussion and learning today.

September 11, 2001 forever changed our country and those that call it home. Today, we remember and honor the lives affected and lost, and the incredible ways our nation came together to support each other. May we never forget, and may we honor their bravery and resilience by carrying it forward.

Happy Labor Day! Today, we pause to recognize the contributions of workers across the country. Every person deserves a fair workplace, and my office is committed to protecting workers and enforcing their rights through our Civil Rights Unit. Our office is closed today in observance of the holiday.

BREAKING: We secured a court order blocking the Trump Administration's USPS rule that attempts to unnecessarily insert the Postal Service into Vermont’s mail-in voting process. The new rule is burdensome. It's unnecessary and it's unlawful. We will continue to fight it.

Today I had the pleasure of teaching the Consumer Law in Action class at the University of Vermont. These students will learn the ins and outs of Vermont’s Consumer Protection Act while supporting my office’s Consumer Assistance Program and putting the law into action on behalf of Vermonters.
