I've watched science and public health collide in real time, from COVID to polluted air in South Bay San Diego. People deserve to understand the science shaping their lives, and a voice in the solutions. I'm thinking about a podcast built on that. Would you listen? What would make you tune in?

Awesome little interview from Dr @binitakane.bsky.social on why MECFS has been neglected for so long

Best of luck with the offer 🤞

Oh yeah, how's the house selling doing? Very tough time to find a new GP. Most not enrolling. I enrolled with one and had to wait 3 weeks before confirmation of enrollment, that's before even making an appointment! 🙃

@toolongcovid.bsky.socialOct 17, 2026, 11:42 PM

Yes, I'm having to confront this as I've had to find a new GP clinic since we moved. It's quite stressful.

@toolongcovid.bsky.socialOct 17, 2026, 11:39 PM

*come back normal

@toolongcovid.bsky.socialOct 17, 2026, 11:36 PM

Some of us have been sick since 2019 or 2020. Some are still getting sick now. Some have been vaccinated. Some were athletes.

The people we meet with Long Covid are some of the sickest people I've ever met. Yet, there's absolutely nothing to help. The politicians push us to the GP. The GP doesn't know what to do and blood tests cone back normal.

And YES,they are STILL FUCKING PUSHING THIS SHIIITE🤬 "Researchers attribute this early vulnerability to flu to a prolonged lack of exposure. Due to COVID-19 lockdowns and reduced socialization, younger adults and children have comparatively lower levels of natural immunity to current flu strains."

@toolongcovid.bsky.socialOct 17, 2026, 5:55 AM

Yeah it does seem like AI on a close read but normally AI gives good info about Covid stuff because of all the thousands of research articles out there.

@toolongcovid.bsky.socialOct 17, 2026, 5:44 AM

I just don't understand why the propaganda still? Like all the evidence is there. Why continue to minimise?

Important to note illness started with COVID and EBV. Likely a #LongCovid component (or fully LC). For LC, key to underline there are many possible checks to do: heart, lungs, immunology, etc. I don't know if Beth D. had these tests, but they might be useful for others

Jord NZ:
If politicians were serious about young people having more kids, they'd slash excuse(sp) on alcohol. It's not a fertility crisis, it's social and loneliness crisis. Alcohol was teh social (and sexual) lubricant.

Ko Raeven toku ingoa: wtf kind of rape culture bullshit is this from @JordNZ? The guy is literally advocating for cheaper alcohol so impaired decision making negates consent & more babies will be the result. THIS pathetic creep is who runs the bot farms & astroturfs the prop up RW parties
