There are countries across the world with an official religion, and which thus technically offer constitutional advantages to that religion. Indeed, most nations have one, including ours. I'm not a fan of the idea personally, but it doesn't inherently equate to oppression.

I didn't say they didn't express Islamophobia. You're changing goalposts. And while non-Jewish Israelis certainly do face discrimination, that's largely illegal already rather than legal.

You're mischaracterising post-Zionism, too. That's a debate about the extent to which Israel should regard itself as a Jewish state, not about the rights of Israeli Arabs.

The Conservative Friends of Israel do not advocate discriminatory laws against non-Jewish Israelis. I'm not sure where you're getting this from.

You and I both know that by "a Palestinian state" they don't just mean "a state in the location of Palestine". Come on.

Also, a lot of Israelis would tell you that the state you just described is Israel today, with the Jewish backbone being much like, eg, the CofE in the UK. I would say that's overgenerous. But an Israel in which it wasn't overgenerous would still be Zionist.

Zionism is the belief that Israel should exist. The belief that Israel should exist is Zionism. This is the meaning of the word.
