Congrats to my friends at Oklahoma. RIP to Monday’s classes.
Jacobs was my professor in college and we had a falling out shortly after. He’s been on this trajectory for a long time. I’m grateful for what he taught me and sad to see what he has become.

ICE shooting another person in NYC and Trump engaging in open race war baiting a month before an election in which that coalition might reduce his power is exactly what we’d expect in this scenario.
Trump 2.0 is one massive Prisoner’s Dilemma—or rather it is an extreme form of the Southern Strategy Prisoner’s Dilemma. An anti-Trump multiracial coalition would be best for everyone. So to get white Americans to defect, he uses his shock troops to make the coalition seem naive and pointless.
Trump wants to preside over a second civil war so badly.
At this rate we're maybe a year or two away from a real life Chain Gang All-Stars.
Omg 😆
Unfortunately, I think that’s increasingly very true. It also depends on what seems to be the controversy of the day. Liberation theology is not nearly as controversial today as it once was. Case in point: some of the far-right postliberals claim to be anticapitalist.
Love seeing this making the rounds again and will always retweet. We published one of the greatest poems of all time, as seen in the most prestigious literary magazine of all time:
As part of my board duties with Catholic Labor Network I need to help raise $5k.
We support union organizing, create education materials, find bargaining mediators, etc.

Yes, 100% agree. The burden of proof is squarely on them.
I see my position as being similar to a position on, say, recreational marijuana or IVF. There simply isn't a relevant connection to the Bible. In my book, I go further and argue that Christians should stop appealing to the Bible as a straightforward authority in general.
To be fair, they love to cite Genesis 2-3 as the normative model for human relationships, and I also largely ignore the Hebrew Bible on purpose because I'm not arguing for patriarchal polygamy but an egalitarian polyamory—and I don't want to confuse the two.
Thanks! I’m quite pleased to see I’ve touched a nerve among the right people. And I don’t certainly don’t mind the free publicity.
It seems I've now attracted the censure of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. This has been a fascinating window into the Christian conservative media ecosystem. A piece by the Colson Center has spread to the Christian Post, The Federalist, and BGEA.

New whistleblower complaint: The Trump admin pushed the FBI to investigate Los Angeles protesters in violation of their constitutional rights and the bureau's policies, a former FBI supervisor alleges in a new whistleblower complaint.
Oh for sure. Union denominations like the UCC are very much on my mind.
Working on it!
I was really pleased to be involved with this book. I highly recommend it. Claremont has been at the center of Trump’s return to power. If you want to understand Trump 2.0, you need to understand Claremont.
