Oh, so now you can't be a seagull and British?

News headline "Britons lose £171 million worth of food a year to seagulls"

You’d think. Yet not always the case in my experience

Disgusting comments but not a surprise given the UKFPU’s long-standing mistrust and - let’s call it what it is - hatred of football supporters, coming from the very top in the shape of the shameless Mark Roberts. He and they are discredited voices in this debate.

Isn’t that because you can’t copyright a recipe in isolation, but you can copyright a bit of writing which contains it?

NEW | I’m not surprised, but I am livid.

BBC NEWS, ‘DANNY TOMMO’ AND THE DINGHY ATTACK THAT DISAPPEARED

While the rest of the media – even the very worst parts – report on Daniel Thomas’ actions, BBC News fails to give its audience the facts.

Increasingly I have a lot of sympathy for the views in this thread. Yes, I’m typing this on a smartphone; yes, I’m part of the problem. And I think they’ve changed our social behaviour in hugely significant ways that we’re only just beginning to understand.

NEW: A Tory council is lobbying the government to increase housing benefit, just as Kemi Badenoch pledges to cut it

An Enfield Council cabinet report said the housing benefit cap should be three times higher than the level Badenoch wants to cut it to

That assumes the current occupant of No 10 has a substantially different view on this than his Home Secretary. Never seen anything from the man that would suggest that that’s the case

Idk, kind of feel like if Kent Police had actually bothered to chuck a load of these people in the back of vans on Saturday (not least the actual fucking ringleader of these blackshirts), this could have been avoided.

Those with a keen interest in taxi licensing not exactly underrepresented either

Yeah, having campaigned for years in an area with a large student population, can confirm that both registration rates and turnout within those registered tend to be very, very low

Definitely in use when I went in the early 90s

@andygilpin.bsky.socialSep 2, 2026, 10:30 AM

Yeah fair enough, looking at it I was probably overestimating how big a target it is

@andygilpin.bsky.socialSep 2, 2026, 10:26 AM

Completely fair that the Burnham honeymoon makes it a harder win than it would’ve been a few months ago, or might well be in a few months time. But if it’s a seat that’s in say the 30 most likely targets and it can’t be won at a by election, it just doesn’t bode well for a large breakthrough
