Also reminds me of a design principle for TTRPGs: Know the size of the 2 popular Chessex battlemaps (22x25, 33x44). Most combats should easily fit on the first. Truly epic (and rare) fights should easily fit on the larger. Most RPGs should never use the larger size.
Yuuuup. Consider the tools popular among your customers, design with those in mind.
Roger Marshall sucks
Agreed on all counts
I honestly didn’t expect I would be nabbing this first day but turns out I am wrong.
Perfect
Being the most creative writer might get you a writing gig, but one thing I’ve learned through managing a project is hitting deadlines and following the set guidelines might be way more important traits. If you are looking to get into freelance ttrpg writing, stick to schedules and the prompts.
Yeeeeeeees
Yeah yeah the game play looks fun and whatever, I’ll probably back it. But wait til you all see my next Kickstarter for tasteful Hobbit nudes. Talk about demand.
D66 table of what type of table you should use in your next ttrpg layout
While I agree with you, I want Cornell’s name involved too. College campuses and their bullshit “we will handle rapes internally and avoid statistics for campus crimes going up” is absolute trash.
The Cornell 7 revelation is insane. Don’t give rapists a slap on the wrists for fucks sake. And if a victim changed their story or whatever, that doesn’t mean an investigation shouldn’t take place. People change their stories a lot for many reasons. Doesn’t change the truth.
A great feeling, good for you!
David is not only a friend (lucky me) but also an incredibly talented adventure designer.
The early bird specials are pretty rad too.
Go @world-of-oranth.bsky.social go!
Rules heavy TTRPGs aren’t better or worse than rules light TTRPGs What determines what is best boils down to your own preferences and the preferences of the people you play with. But there isn’t a universal truth to this admittedly minor debate.
Plants plotting to rise higher in the list
If you are ever in Mission, KS on a Saturday afternoon, this is where you want to find yourself.
I’ve been apart of over 50 projects since January 2025. Since then I’ve tried my hand at layout, editing, writing, marketing, crowdfunding, and fulfillment. I feel pretty good about this. Learning a lot. Debating taking a class or two in design.
