Thank you!! Yess there was no way I would leave it just plain white - I have to give it some color and sparkle! The heart cut outs were an amazing idea of some art friends!! (honestly brilliant!) XD

MELT: REFRAIN: A 🔞 queer trans horror novel about toxic corporate vampires in love, and other four-letter words. One part Gothic, one part psychological torment; all sex and death.

Everything changes for the worst all the time. What are you going to do about it?

Available now on Itch & Payhip. 🪦🕊️

Promo image with the cover of MELT: REFRAIN and extra info. It says: a queer trans corporate Gothic horror novel. Non-linear, multi-POV, first in a series. The cover illustration features two characters, one in bright red, one in dark teal. The man in red is disheveled and smoking, eyes obscured in shadow, and the man in teal is behind him, mostly obscured and dangling a lowball glass over the first man's shoulder. Smoke drifts up from the cigarette, partially obscuring both their faces. The backdrop is black and dark red, and is textured a little like viscera. The title text has a similar texture and is outline in neon red.Excerpt from MELT: REFRAIN. If Simon hadn’t been so desperate already, Hector really would bite him open, drink him half-dry and make him woozy and pliant. But Simon’s saucer-wide pupils and laser focus on the red pooling on Hector’s chin and seeping into his beard belie his composure. It’s not like Hector’s ever been turned—no doubt something out there could mold a vampire into something else, though he’d rather not dwell on the possibility—but he’s got the gist over the years, how it eats and eats and eats at someone if they don’t get what they need. Born vampires have it bad enough already; what exquisite agony something even worse must be, the basest parts of oneself parched and undeniable. Available now on Itch.io and Payhip.
