Fellas, I'm feeling extreeeemely weak, due to the perfect storm around and inside me yesterday. What will I do? (yes, work on stuff)

Did I lose much of my weekend sleeping because I got terribly sick due to the vaccine? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes.

Then we get cases of people that get very serious diagnoses in ER because I'm llllliterally doing my job and everyone else does too

In ER they just tell you that they won't help you unless your life is in danger. Like, fr. Don't even bother with flare ups. At most you're getting blood tested, and if that's fine, you go home. (don't give me more work)

Instead of suggesting we aren’t “that sick” or that there’s care we’re choosing not to get … ask how you can help. Show genuine concern and a desire to learn about life with chronic illness. Understand that more often than not an ER trip means setbacks, trauma and no help at all.

“If you’re really that sick you should be in the hospital” Please stop saying this to chronically ill people. If we went to the hospital every time we suffered, we would live there. Hospitals can’t help us and they often make us worse. We are on our own, and being subtly gaslit doesn’t help.
