I've been spending a lot of time fretting about whether I should be IN the fandom in the first place, since I've always been staunchly against stuff like cub and feral, and I have been hurt by a LOT of poorly-socialized people. Reading this helps, I think

This thread hit me at a really important time. I've been having a hard time weighing my morals against the communities I'm in. It can be really hard to reconcile "this is wrong because it makes me uncomfortable" against "this makes me uncomfortable because it's wrong."
