"You're a NIMBY about AI data centers!" Actually I'm a NOMP (Not On My Planet) about privately-owned fixed-location infrastructure externalizing the cost of burning hydrocarbons for energy. If they had to pay what this really costs society in health and climate harms, they wouldn't do it.

Just gonna boost one more time, I'm gonna try to sleep but I've been extremely unsuccessful so far.

I'm very sorry to have to boost my Ko-Fi again but I've got my schedules for these next 2 weeks before I leave to visit my wife, and between now and then I only work 4 days (13 hours), I've put in more job applications but I've been burned too many times.

I've tried and have been rejected so so many times. Even today I woke up to a rejection email.

I'm tired and I just want out of that hell hole. I hate that I know I need to stick it out but that place isn't worth destroying my mental health further.

I'm supposed to be asleep right now but I'm just sitting here and pondering. Why am I giving so much of my mental and physical energy to a job that wants my availability to be completely open yet will only schedule me maybe 8 hours per week? I'm making less now than I did when I was fucking 18.
